Spiffin' it up! Kitchen Remodel

It's taken us a few months, but our 1936 English Tudor kitchen is finally complete.  When we moved in the kitchen was drab.  Old appliances, yellowish/orange oak cabinets, original wood floors (which I love) , "country" curtains (as my husband called them).  It was not our style and in need of some serious upgrading.  It has taken us 4 1/2 years but I can finally say that I love our kitchen.  It's not my ideal layout, but islands were not a big thing back in the 30's! I do enjoy a lot of it's original charm, now it just has a more modern twist.

Let Freedom Ring!

Liddy's first Fourth of July weekend was fun and not too eventful.  We didn't get to see any fireworks, because they didn't shoot off until 10 pm, which was pretty late for a 10 month old, but we did get to do some other fun things to celebrate the holiday.  We even took a last minute trip down to Jasper so that I could meet baby Benjamin, my newest nephew!  Boy, is he a cutie!

Grandma, Mark, and Liddy at the Carmel 4th of July parade

Marks favorite- he loves a good bag pipe.

Watching the parade with Grandma
Sweet Baby Ben!

splash, splash with Daddy

Cousins!  (minus sleeping Ben)
And of course we had to stop at Bloomington Bagel on the way home from Jasper!

Kisses from Lucy

Happy 4th of July, Friends!

10 Months

Could this little peanut really be in the double digits?? Time is flying and Lidia is changing every day.  This is such a great age!  It's been a busy month!

I am quite a happy baby!!
...and I realllllly love my Daddy!
I love to stand!
....and shake, EVERYTHING!
Baths are so much fun!

...but swimming is even better!
Shots at the doctor's office are not very much fun.

...but hanging out with cousins is fun!
