Spiffin' it up! Kitchen Remodel

It's taken us a few months, but our 1936 English Tudor kitchen is finally complete.  When we moved in the kitchen was drab.  Old appliances, yellowish/orange oak cabinets, original wood floors (which I love) , "country" curtains (as my husband called them).  It was not our style and in need of some serious upgrading.  It has taken us 4 1/2 years but I can finally say that I love our kitchen.  It's not my ideal layout, but islands were not a big thing back in the 30's! I do enjoy a lot of it's original charm, now it just has a more modern twist.

  1. This looks awesome! Did you get all new cabinets or have them painted? The lighter walls really opens and brightens the kitchen. Our house was built in the 30s too, so we would like to remodel our kitchen as well.

  2. Thanks guys! No, we actually hired a company that I found off of Angie's List to paint the cabinets. They also added hardware. I couldn't believe how "brand new" they looked!
